Surrounded by the unique landscape of the Dolomites, there are some truly special places waiting to be discovered around San Candido – including, of course, the region’s well-known highlights such as Lake Braies, the Three Peaks, the high-altitude plateau of Prato Piazza, our local mountain Mount Baranci, Mount Elmo and the idyllic Lake Dobbiaco.
Whether hiking through the Puster Valley, climbing and mountain biking in the Dolomites or enjoying leisurely walks through the beautiful natural surroundings of the Puster Valley – there are countless ways to make the most of unforgettable summer days. The Funbob summer toboggan run on Mount Baranci also promises plenty of fun for the whole family.

Pleasant temperatures, settled weather and clear views stretching far across the Dolomites … in autumn, the region around San Candido reveals one of its most atmospheric sides. It’s the perfect time to make the most of the golden landscapes – with long hikes, leisurely bike rides through the Puster Valley and unforgettable days spent outdoors.
