When the rooster crows early in the morning, we’re already up and about, taking care of the animals on our farm before getting on with the work in our fields around San Candido and in the garden. Our own farm produce is made with plenty of hard work, hands-on craftsmanship and a genuine passion for what we do every day – and that is exactly what makes life at Schopferhof so special …
A place full of life
There’s so much to discover on our farm in the Puster Valley during your holiday … Our animals are an integral part of life on the farm, bringing colour and life to our everyday routine. Cows, chickens, pigs, cats and rabbits don’t just make the farm a lively place – they also create special holiday moments for our guests, especially families. Our farm dog Kira is always happy to meet new people, and welcomes you with her friendly nature.
To make sure our animals feel completely at home, we built a modern open-sided cowshed outside the village in 2012, giving them plenty of space, light and freedom to move around. It is particularly important to us that our animals are not only well cared for in the cowshed, but also have the chance to enjoy the great outdoors. That’s why they spend around half the year grazing on the lush meadows around the farm, enjoying the fresh mountain air.
Our precious hay milk is delivered to the Sennerei Drei Zinnen, where it is turned into high-quality regional products. In this way, we combine traditional farming with sustainable animal husbandry and genuine South Tyrolean quality.
